Maker Club for Youth: Innovate, Create, and Lead!
Welcome to the Maker Club! Join us in a supportive and creative environment where you can bring your ideas to life. In Maker Club, youth will have access to a variety of tools and technologies, including electronic tools, 3D printers, and other fabrication resources, along with expert guidance to help them design and build their projects.
This program is ideal for youth eager to explore making, from coding and robotics to 3D printing and hands-on fabrication. Participants will work with tools such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Python libraries, including OpenCV, as they learn foundational skills and apply them to real-world projects. As a student-led club, participants can choose their projects, with suggested themes and ideas provided to inspire and guide their creativity.
Theme for the First Four to Six Months: Computer Vision & Machine Learning
Dive into the fascinating world of Computer Vision and Machine Learning! During this theme, participants will:
- Explore how machines "see" and interpret images.
- Use Python libraries like OpenCV to process and analyze images.
- Learn about machine learning fundamentals and how to train models.
- Create projects such as object recognition, face detection, and image-based games.
This theme will provide a hands-on introduction to cutting-edge technologies shaping the future.
Beyond the Initial Theme
After the first four to six months, the Maker Club's theme will be collaboratively decided with participants, ensuring the program aligns with their interests and sparks their enthusiasm for making.
Why Join Maker Club?
By participating, youth will:
- Engage in collaborative, innovative projects.
- Develop leadership and project management skills.
- Think creatively and solve complex problems.
- Explore 3D printing, fabrication, and robotics.
- Learn the basics of electronics, build circuits, and use sensors and robotics components.
Participants will begin with small circuits and basic programming, advancing to design and engineer their own projects, from drawing machines to intelligent systems. This course fosters logical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of engineering, programming, and AI.
Please Note:
- Previous coding knowledge is required.
- This is a continuous program, and the end date is flexible based on participants’ interest.
Join us at the Maker Club to explore, innovate, and lead in the world of making and technology!
